Having been introduced to lesley clarke in the previous series you get to follow her as she tries to settle into her new posting in a rural dorset town

This series is set in dorset but cleverly links to the zoe finch books although cam easily be read as a standalone

Clarke leads from the front and she certainly wouldn’t ask anybody to do anything that she wouldn’t be willing to do herself
