What i personally do is read through the section in my text book find its equivalence in the complete idiots guide then connect the dots then refer back to my text books images for some supporting detail

Extensive use and reference to chemistrybiology even so author does explain some basics concepts and does very good job i still found its not enough to really understand it 100
