Pros

For the novice or experienced mead maker this is a must have book. Fantastic and great book, for all ranges of the meadmaking.

Perfect for any amateur mead maker. Ken schramm's passion for meadmaking is evident, and infectious. I can't wait for my first batch to finish fermenting!

Quality

I am a novice at making mead and this book starts with the very basics to get you going.

A clear understanding of the history of mead and how it's component parts work together to produce a wonderful product.

Shipping

Love the book so far, only concern is that it looks like something ran it over shipping and nearly took off part of the cover.

Although this was written sometime ago, almost all of this is still applicable.

He does recommend boiling or heating his honey in several spots in the recipe section, which is something i think even ken schramm has backed off of.
