For the novice or experienced mead maker this is a must have book. Fantastic and great book, for all ranges of the meadmaking.
Perfect for any amateur mead maker. Ken schramm's passion for meadmaking is evident, and infectious. I can't wait for my first batch to finish fermenting!
Supremely understandable, knowledgeable and relatable stories and lessons abound in this book. My current favorite section is the metheglin spice section.
Cons
Most of the book is devoted to lengthy discussions about various fruits and spices, many entirely unrelated to mead. At one point the book mentions that you can keep fermentation going for 1-6 months but does not specify which is better. Poor writing ... Read More

Although this was written sometime ago, almost all of this is still applicable.

He does recommend boiling or heating his honey in several spots in the recipe section, which is something i think even ken schramm has backed off of.
