I was hooked from the beginning and let everything slide at home as i moved through the 6 books: a welsh-english heroine (or 2) and a viking hero set in the late 800s in both england and gotland.

I got this by accident thinking it was epic fantasy, i did not read the blurb thoroughly or i likely would have passed it up.

I did not find any books written in this style, from a woman’s perspective, and i really think it would be very hard to fill the shoes of this author.

The turns of phrase do help to set the tone, and while not at all a difficult read, the book isn't written as a fluff piece.

It took me two paragraphs at the start to sink into the language and setting of the circle of ceridwen,but once i was there, i couldn’t put the book down.
