Dipped in water it needs more than a few drops activated all three leds on my torch satisfactorily which then took an hour or so to reach their full brightness initially the light was disappointingly dim but once at full brightness the light generated was equivalent to a single candle or even a little better

It is unfortunate that the leds chosen work in the blue spectrum a yellower light would be more friendly

As others have pointed out the light can not be switched off but mine kept shining adequately for three weeks then reimmersion in water recharged it and it is still shining two weeks later

The torch clearly has potential in severe power outtages as a longterm emergency light source

Feels like magic i sink it in water for less than 10 seconds to test it and it light up immediately then i removed it out of water i thought it would turn itself off
