Pros
The 420d shell is actually more sturdy than i thought it was going to be. I foresee the quality of the material and craftsmanship lasting many years to come. Love the slick black color scheme with the orange highlights as well.
Dual daisy-chains on either side of the front main compartment are great for attaching gear. The little pouch on the waist belt is too small for my iphone, but it fits my headlamp perfectly.
Normally i go for the brighter packs, but in this case i love how well it hides. From the crags to snowy peaks, the construction, comfort and versatility of this pack cannot be beat.
As a bigger guy, loosened all the way, they make it just comfortable enough for the pack to be really nice. If you are worried about torso size, it is super easy to adjust the sizing to fit your needs. The pack is super adjustable.
The padding is just right, the straps are form fitting and the waist belt was very well thought out. Lots of strap support for back. Elastic loops on all the straps so that they aren't flopping around everywhere.
Cons
The pack is too short to get the benefit of the belt. Since the pack is short, it rides too high to reach around and get my gatorade bottle back in the side pouch. While the bag is nice and seems durable there is little to no option for organization. ... Read More

Not only did it keep everything dry but there was enough room for my snowshoes to fit and zip up inside the pack
I had to remove the pack and make adjustment then put the pack back on my back to check for proper adjustment
Competitiveness
This is a great weekend backpack that would also work as a daypack and even a long trip option if packed correctly
I would my talus up against any other and more expensive back pack on the market
Lastly this pack is not comfortable with loads of more than 25 to 28lbs
It was down to the talus and another one that cost more than twice the price

It has a spot for a hydration bladder with a hole stitched in but does not come with one
