Pros

Reading the manual is a bit of a chore, watch the youtube instructions. The instructions are very messy, but we watched a video and it made everything clearer.

The good parts is all the realism, yet simplicity of the cards. The deck is huge, so there's plenty of replayability. I am about to buy a 3rd copy of the base games as my cards are starting to fray and look ragged.

Play is probably around 2-4 hours maybe, faster if you are veteran players. However, if one or both players focus on the terraforming then the game gets quite quick and there is usually a race to the finish.

One is as an engine builder like le havre. This is thematic, but it might disappoint some players.

Cons

The components are so flimsy that after i took it out to play i just put it away. Gameplay is the most important part of a game, but i refuse to get ripped off paying a premium price for a subpar product. The bigger issue is that my copy came missing ...  Read More

Cards are barely cards at all. No holders are provided for any of the parts. Even the game boards that were included (the four i received) are on a thin photo-type paper, not even on cardboard! All aspects of the game pieces and cards were shrink-wrap...  Read More

For the price point i expected a little better quality of the game parts

Packaging/appearance

You buy the cards that you want to keep and discard the rest

The game arrived with a bump that seems to have been before the packaging since the outer box arrived well a little sad about that

Competitiveness

As turns go by and strategies suggest themselves both from the cards you draw and the actions of your competitors the game shif...  Read More

One little bump and they can get messed up prettily easily

Ive only played this game solo and 2 player so i dont know how it works with more players than that

I would guess that if you played with three or four players then the probability of one player deciding to focus on the terraforming and so accelerate the game would be higher

I would have appreciated a doublesided map to change things up a bit

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The solo game has an enforced turn limit to turn the red planet green or fail

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

With only a single player youll be forced to focus on the terraforming aspect

This was an extremely difficult game to learn
