Pros & Cons
Pros
Works very well for indoors.
I have 5 going at a time and keeps me well supplied. Excited to branch out a bit, get more creative and stay sustainable. They care about their customers and have passion for their product.
Cons
On one side of the mat, is a thin sheet of what looks like white cotton sheet, sewn (or glued) into the hemp. Mine start to rot if kept wet for longer than 2 weeks. Mold is an issue too. Product seems highly ineffective.
Highlights
Quality
Sprouts my seeds for transplanting and microgreeens very easy with no mess makes harvesting microgreeens very clean easy
They are highly absorbable very strong and hold water extremely well
Ive tried other mats which were generally to thin and not durable enough
Pieces turned to black mush so stopped using in that way after sprouting seeds
Price
50 a sheet it is very expensive but then it is one of the least expensive out there
Competitiveness
I have tried jute and coconut fiber mats interchangeably and i continue to come back to these hemp mats
Theyre a little pricey but not much more than highquality seed starting mixes and the added convenience is worth it
