I bought this iron in january 2017 for £55 - at £75 (the price it's on for at the time of writing) i think it is overpriced.

Lately, ironing has left the occasional brown streak on clothes.

What i like about this iron:the good, long length of the flex;the little clip on the flex to keep it tidy when not in use;it feels sturdy on it's end;the auto-shut off;filling the tank is easy and the cover stops dust getting in;not only do you not need to use distilled/special ironing water in this iron, the instructions positively instruct you to use tap water.

I hope your lever did not break off the tank, but if it does tefal stands behind its products.
