Pros

Usb port to modem. Works fine, same speeds as i had with my old laptop that had a wired connection.

I love the fact that it doubles as a 3 port usb 3. This adapter not only has the ethernet port, it also has 3 extra usb slots which are 3. Inches wide. The tecknet aluminum 3-port usb3.

After using it, it is sturdy and works well. It has a small blueprint. I have more videos on my web & youtube channel called albert ashton - technologist.

Cons

Usb drive attached to the hub continuously disconnects. Throws unknow usb device error forever after powering up from sleep mode. Windows, keeps unrecognizing this and disconnects it. I have to continually reboot to get it to show up.

The ethernet hub, while expectantly providing slower connection speed, impedes the actual internet speed by at least a whopping 60%.

Surface book 2 has two usb ports and no ethernet port. Wireless mouse ceases to work or struggles to respond. Logitech wireless mouse in one of the usb ports is glitchy and not very responsive.

My work laptop was not equipped for ethernet which i need to wfh so i ordered this adapter and liked it for the bonus of having usb inputs

The convenience of connecting through the network and the ability to get more usb connections

It doesnt overheat at all like some adapters do and i didnt have to do anything at all except plug it in

My powerpoint presentations move smoothly and no video lags

This works great its just it seems every time i buy something that same item shows up at a lower price after the purchase
