Pros

Durable - survived many drops and tumbles. Lasted several years. Seems to be a tight seal. Can't be too picky about exactness of a 1-2 dollar hourglass though.

The failure of the 5 minute timer is not a deal breaker for me as i rarely use it. They are very precise for anything that accepts such a standard deviation. All 4 seem to be calibrated to within 10 seconds of each other, so they should work fine!

Much less procrastinating on his part with using these. It makes it more fun for students when you can select what time limit they will have. I love that he can see how much longer he has, and watching it calms him down.

Cons

These hourglasses consistently have the sand clump in one end or the other.

Not worth returning them. Do not buy these. Will be purchasing a more expensive set. Absolutely worthless product.
