Are a soupy gray. It's like a dark, patchy band and especially dark in the corners. Netflix is about two stops too dark and this is almost impossible to work around without raising brightness settings.

Picture quality is very nice better than my old plasma screen 42 that is failing

I just hope the quality of the set will result in a long life for the tv
