Pros

I caulked around the box just to give me some extra peace of mind. Pole setup takes on heavy rain, window and snow throughout the year. Used these in a lady’s back yard near her pond and waterfall.

Large case cover to be able to encase the extension cord with the lid closed. Extra depth allows large gauge extension cords enough space to bend and exit correctly.


Cons

Latch mechanism is weak and does not stay in locked position. Cover is not clear. Have to duck tape it.

    Used this for pool light switch i didnt have enough room above this so it wouldnt swing up enough to use so i took off the hinges put it on with a bungee cord holding it against the base you need 3 inches above the outlet to use this

    This item doesnt really secure closed which is kind of a problem for an outdoor box

    It has a clip that is supposed to hold it closed but it doesnt really clip so the box kind of dangles open

    Also it has holes in all 4 corners that can be used to secure to an exterior box except that they are sealed
