Pros

It works fantastic. It can also be calibrated easily. The read out is accurate and it folds up nicely for storage.

I like how it automatically turns on and off when you extend or retract the probe. I highly recommend you do not leave it submerged in water / no dishwasher.

Average build quality but works as described. Pricey but 100% worth it. Saved $20 over sur la table. Bought 2 more as gifts, too. Can be ordered from amazon.

Cons

The only thing is that i dropped this device no more than two feet from the ground and it messed up the device to where it will only turn on at a very specific and short angle. Last month quit working completely. Could not open the battery cover. The ... Read More

Our fry and grill cooks use these all day for checking temps and they hold up to everyday use

Flip up the probe and its on my old one required holding down a button until it eventually fired up

This reads at the tip of the probe is where the thermocouple sits so push it half way into the steak and instantly read the temperature
