It would tear and crinkle and just make a horrible mess

Makes it easier to use because it does not stick back on the roll in such a way that it is impossible to pick it off again

I do use a dispenser but as many folks know sometimes the tape falls back to the roll

In the past the packing tapes i have used have been thin so when i would use with my packing gun it would slide right through and not adhere where i would want the tape to stop and cut it
