Cons
Tanglefoot dissolves the adhesive in masking tape. There is no way to make it stick to the tree, or to itself.
Took a a lot of time to apply this to our orchard trees and paid for someone to do it. Should be taken of queue. Maybe this product is for small trees only; mine are 100+ year old oaks.

It goes around the tree but it still leaves gaps that you have to fill in with something or what youre trying to keep from getting up the trunk will just go under the tanglefoot youre putting on the tree
