Pros

Great for shooting birds and sports outside in daylight. I love this lens, i have a nikon and the images are as sharp as a tack. I do some wildlife photography for fun.

Another great feature is the tripod mount, mated to quick release mounting base. The lens is heavy and takes a little getting used to using it handheld. Tripod helps but would still like a bit more.

It auto focuses quietly and quickly enough. I use spot focusing and as long as i have the spot focus on the image the autofocus works great. The one feature i would suggest tamron might consider improving is the switch for auto-focus/manual-focus.

Hummingbirds seem to love century plants when the blossom. Love the possibilities.

This lens is exceptional value for a zoom lens under a thousand dollars. As others have stated, it’s a beast!
