Pros & Cons
Pros
Tamarind paste is the key ingredient to getting pad thai to taste the way it does. The paste is similar in flavor to molasses, but not as bitter and more nutty.
The smell is heavenly and it is very fresh. Unusual sort of sour taste. Tasted like tamarind to me.
Good luck. Get some. Plenty of it. Set aside in a bowl.
Cons
Tried to make pad thai. Sugar is 31%, not clear added or it is a part of pulp. Viscous, bitter, syrupy pulp that was virtually inedible.
Also packaging dirty looks old and products label is wrinkled appears to be put on by hand. Sent me an item that was manufactured in 2015 and expires in mid 2017.
