Synology ds410 is a great nas with a hybrid raid function. It's a good price for a nas and works well as a dlna server.

The number of features available with this product are fantastic. Love the continuous software updates. Unlike the drobo, this box is dependable.

Samsung, wd, seagate hard drives work well together. Samsung 2tb drives from [. Samsung] work well. Wd 2 tb drives work very well. Seagate 2 tb tb works well.

It's very solidly built, easy to put together. The only thing i really do not like is that the unit comes with a clip that's supposed to keep the power cord in place in the back. I plan to purchase a second unit this year to replace my aging hp device... Read More

The extra features and bells and whistles for nas units are not worth it. This is extremely disappointing in that i consider them to be the best nas boxes for the money.
