Another reviewer i read like the handwriting recognition though so that may be more a limitation of the kindle fire than the software itself

Also the suggestions the software provides are outstanding at least as good as that of the ipad possibly better but i no longer have my ipad so i cant make a direct comparison

The swype trial app initially worked but when the trial expired and i went to upgrade it suddenly said it wouldnt work with the fire

Just rechecked apps this experience was well over a year ago and low and behold there is a new updated version

The issue was actually with the amazon appstore
