Quality
Based on the quality of construction and the performance and price, i think these swans d1010-mkii are a good value.
The quality of these speakers surpass the price point by light years.
Although i have only had these for 1 week and cannot determine the quality over time of these speakers.
I did get the warranty protection, and if they fail, i plan to replace them with the same (or similar) models.
Price
Great sound for an extremely reasonable price!
For the price i'm not for sure if you could get a better set of speakers.

Also, if you get them from a seller in nevada, you'll discover a class of shipping you never knew existed - documentation.
Packaging/appearance
Easy and quick to set up right out of the box.
Competitiveness
I love these speakers, easily on par with stuff twice the price.
But that is a minor nitpick, a truly great pair of speakers for the price.
Although they have gone up in price on here, as i got the for avout $125.
Carved from a solid slab of chinesium these units have every reason to be modest, mediocre or down right poor.

If you're worried about the bass, the low end really opens up after about 50 hours of pink noise.

There is a bit of a dip in the midrange, as i expected after seeing the frequency response graph and review at noaudiophile.

Overall sound is quite good though you won't get super deep sub-bass with them, but genres like rock should have acceptable bass.

A small range in the mid-bass feels overemphasized a bit but there are equalization settings available online from other reviewers.
