Banks naomi reddick is 20 years old in college and doing ok for herself and then she isnt her sister maisey amonte has been murdered by her ex husband darren amonte or as naomi thinks anyway this leaving naomi alone except for her now 3 year old nephew toby what is she going to do with a child while shes a college student now she must become mother father and everyone else toby needs then 8 years after naomi has a job as a waitress and barely making enough to keep the lights on or food in the cupboard and she was late for work for one reason or another namely her car now darren is out of prison and is threatening naomi that he wants his son back which he has signed away his parental rights but he has an idea there she can pay him to stay out of tobys life like she has money for thathenry clyburne is the ceo of clyburne financial management and his best friend and 2nd in command is edgar stokes and henry has been going thru assistants like water nobody can get anything right at least in henrys eyes so edgar suggests that henry puts some info into his next assistant and when naomi reddick comes in for the interview he has decided naomi is going to be his next assistant if edgar likes it or notthis is all im saying this was a great 2nd book in this series his brother duncan was in the 1st book
