If you want a secondary ac adapter or need to replace your primary one this is a good option even if its not quite the same build quality as the original which as stated did actually die so maybe this one is better and is missing the superfluous for her usb charging port

I know have to look at the little charging icon to insure the plug is properly seated on a very poorly engineered ms connection

The plastic on the end does fall apart but you can get it to click back in

The connector doesnt seem to be as magnetic as the connector on the charger that came with my surface

The vendor contacted me to ascertain when it was purchased and if it were within the 6 month warranty period

It was slightly past that time and i explained that it is a backup charger not used as the primary source for ac current on my tablet
