I first try to force it there but it was damaging both the clamp thread and the bolt

It was a little difficult to put together the instructions and itemized list of parts is not great if this is something you arent familiar with but once its together its definitely not going anywhere

The instructions at step one for assembling the clamp portion don’t seem to be complete as it tells you the screws are pre positioned

What the instructions don’t mention is that you have to put them in the inside of the top plate in order to safely secure it so that it can be clamped
