Not as quiet as they say but it doesnt keep you awake

The only drawback is that it does not automatically stop when the water runs dry so you have to keep in mind to turn it off before leaving the house for safety reason

Im not sure if the ultrasonic thing turns off or not or if it can be damaged is its running on an empty tank but it seemed like a nice feature is missing there

Update this humidifier does have and autooff feature when the water is depleted the ultrasonic thingy shuts down but the fan will still run

This is a great humidifier i previously owned the exact same model but accidentally broke the water reservoir as it slipped from my hands into the sink while refilling it and cracked the plastic rather badly and irreparably

The house i moved into doesnt have a humidifier on the furnace to i pulled out my trusty sunbeam ultrasonic humidifier and put it to work
