Author sure knows how to spin a tail, and to reuse characters from other stories. Same timeline but told from several different character's perspectives. One flaw is that the ending falls a little flat.

Someone has a living eye with fluttering eyelashes on his *. One male character has an issue that seems outlandish to the plot and pretty sci fi. I am so shocked that this is the same author that hooks me every time.

After this weapon is fired a witness would have ringing of the ears and smell the cordite and there is smoke and particulate in the air
It is like your whole head is stuffed with cotton and the volume is so painful you can only hear ringing for a long time

Very strange concept but it all tied together at the end
