The black shroud behind the plug body is made of hard plastic instead of rubber or some other flexible material so the tiny wires inside the cable will always bend sharply and at the same spot if the cable is put to heavy or strenuous use which can ultimately lead to intermittent connections poor power transfer for device charging or outright failure

I luckily found this great product with time because while i was there i looked for type c usb cables for my wife who forgot to bring her charger and it was impossible to find they just didnt know what it was

The c plug is very well made not cheap at all and i believe is actual metal not painted plastic nothing about this cable feels cheap
