Pros & Cons

Pros

This is an excellent alternative for your fermentation needs. Just bottled 35 bottles of a white moscato and couldn't be happier for the price.

It fits in an ale pail for ease of cleaning and sanitation. The bottom collection ball is handy for collecting sediment. Perhaps it is the redesigned top and top washer, but i had no problems with getting a solid seal.

Fill with water and tighten slowly until satisfied. Use ample ptfe on the threads and hand-tighten on the looser side.

There is info added to the booklet on how to readjust the ball valve in case it does leak. Most of the complaints i've read have to do with leaking.

Cons

The only thing i received is the main drum. No fittings, lid, nothing. Couldn't get a good seal at the lid. The ball valves break constantly.

I would have prefered the unit coming with the spigot but it does not

Price

There might be some burs and this is clearly to keep the cost to a minimum

Packaging/appearance

I own two of these now and they make it painless to bottle without sediment getting into the beer

For me its easier to transfer my wort to the still without worrying of sediment since it comes out in the ball

Competitiveness

Patience my friends and it will more than meet expectations
