Pros & Cons
Pros
Staub is one of my favorite cookware brands. Very well seasoned non-stick interior allows you to sauté your food for soups or braises. Le creuset and staub are the market leaders for enameled cast iron.
Staub enameled cast iron is gorgeously finished, well-made, robust and durable. Everything i make in these pots come out flavorful and delicious. This dutch oven is amazing, but it outperforms any other d dutch oven made.
In the intervening years, i discovered staub and started building up a collection. I currently have a worker seeing if mineral spirits will do anything to diminish it. I know i will be passing all of my beautiful staub pieces down to my children and g... Read More
Staub is a great brand, highly recommended, especially at this price. I have a non branded oval one bought in a supermarket in france which is a fantastic value.
Cons
It's too expensive to be disposable, and too delicate to be expensive. The box was worn and ripped down the side. It is defective after used it less than 10 times.
Highlights

Staub is a great brand highly recommended especially at this price
Staub is a great brand for an iron cocotte so when i saw the price cheaper here than in france i just ordered it
Shipping
The seller had packed very well and shipping was fast
Packaging/appearance
Good cooking spoons for enamel or porcelain coating…
Sure it won’t chip but it’s ugly and no ceramic coating
Anyway i had been using my dads dutch oven as a designated pot for making yogurt cream of wheat and oatmeal when i noticed the flaking
Competitiveness
I owned my last one for many many years—and it still looked like new
My larger la cruset dutch oven and allclad soup pot are hardly used in lieu of this now
Overall i think it is slightly superior to the le crueset for the reasons stated

More recently ive also been using it as a dutch oven for making soups and stews which usually involve tomatoes or another acid ingredient which would do a number on my regular cast iron cookware but i dont even season this pot

The cast iron is not heavy as compared to the same size from germany which made me think that the item could have been manufactured in china
