Pros
Not bulky. Very easy to use. But some of the reviews of the wav***k brand scares me especially if people say it shorts their hard drives or poor customer support.
Docking station works as advertised. Both functions work fine in osx. Does what it's supposed to do.
If you are still using the mechanical drives, such as the ones that spin at 7200 rpm or 5900 rpm, even though they say they are sata iii compatible, the mechanical components still have a maximum transfer rate.
The standalone erase is a nice feature that has already come in handy. Plugged it into the dock, hit the stand alone erase feature and got a fully functioning drive back once it was done. Do recommend for any copy drive to drive, or pc to drive. You c... Read More

After using a number of significantly less expensive docks we settled on startech
I cloned a bootable 160gb ide hard drive using the optional startech sat2ideadp to a 500gb sata hard drive
Using another startech product to get information off the old ide hard drives

The ssd was messed up good couldnt be seen in file explorer or disk managment and started crashing the usb port every time it was plugged in
