Particle board or solid wood these have made the job much easier with the solid construction and sharp edges

I only give it 4 stars because they arent as sharp as i would have expected coming out of the packaging
Out of the box the cutting edges are a flat ground bevel as opposed to a hollow grind which would make them harder to touch up

Handles are cheap but they are cheap chisels edges was good and sharp
