Pros
It is very sturdy and has no trouble with his weight. The metal is pretty sturdy, and is colored black. Thankfully our situation is such that we could put it away for a while as the injury has healed.
Cons
This seems like a limited circumstance, however. The idea of this product seems good, but the longevity is not! We have a lazy boy and it was not compatible.

This did not work for my recliner as my chair did not allow it to open enough to not crowd the seat no part of the area under the arms is availableso it can only go to the inside of the arms and because of this it was too close together on the seat and also for the hands too when you sit or get up

Instead i bought the stander recliner risers on amazon which were a lot cheaper and still make it easier to get up without all the setup or cost of these stander chair assist grab bars

I feel there may need to be a pin and clip there in stead of the way it slides in

I use it on a rocking recliner and found the back of the recliner needs support so the weight on the arms and legs of this stand n go aid does not recline too far back that it makes it difficult to get up

The frame’s legs and handles fit flush against the front of the recliner so that the recliner’s leg support lifts normally between the frame’s legs
