Pros & Cons
Pros
The triaxial geogrid somewhat acts like a compacted base (similar to like turf reinforcement grids) installed this past weekend to build a camper pad. Great for our gravel walkway. Works great for our boat parking pad.
It's basically “get a beer, stretch it out, fill with gravel, yay! Our lot has a slight downward grade and we wanted to contain the gravel. Crushed stone locks in tightly and doesn't shift like pea gravel. Lastly filled with grey granite gravel.
Cons
This product is meant for erosion control only. Arrives with worthless instructions.
Highlights
Quality
This product works well for horse paddocks if you have a mud problem
Extremely impressed with the results really quite little effort
We planned a 34 pad and the product only covered 30
The product plus rock and the rental of the machine didn’t even come to half of what the concrete quotes came out to for both project
Price
Cost was about 15 the cost of concrete and we completed most of the install 2 people in one weekend
Competitiveness
A pair of 5year olds can install this bad boy
Our camper has a new home at a fraction of the cost of a concrete pad

Being fearful of using washed 34 gravel because of the horses foot structure we choose to use processed 34 gravel which also contains sand

After time most of the gravel sinks into the sand and it becomes a fairly solid surface
