Pros & Cons

Pros

Cuts down my weeding time by 75%. Easily cuts plugs and the holster for it is great when your hands are full. Never bends, can cut through just about anything. The ground in my area is particularly hard and i can pry out a plug easily with this.

Red handle makes it easy to locate around the yard. Better leverage and well designed. Great sturdy, well made, not to heavy( as in weight). The handle is kinda blah but some epoxy and it stays great.

Great tool. Great pouch. Comes with a durable sheath, too.

A superb tool for exposing fossils. Can move large amounts of soil or small, delicate amounts near fossil. Used for metal detecting. Good for planting starts and bulbs.

If you haven't tried this tool in that hobby try it gardening or landscaping. Just be careful with it. Wear gloves and respect it.

Cons

The packaging is a fat zero. It was placed inside yet another box, too large, with lots of non-recyclable filler. Here is the curt response i received from pamela lesche enterprises.

Both are clearly being marketed as model 85 lesche diggers. There is a much nicer and larger copy of the gator tool for 21 dollars on amazon and it is stainless steel. The other (mine unfortunately) has an issue with the plastic grip.
