A few days ago the shackle on a second lock suddenly would not close properly and could be pulled open by hand without a key

My only slight niggle is the cap that covers the keyhole tends to unclip often this is held in place by a brass screw which i find i have to tighten quite often for the key hole to remain covered

Be careful when pushing the bolt back in the body as once it wasnt locking and then i noticed that 1 or 2mm of rubber surround had been bent inwards slightly preventing the bolt from reaching the locking point

It is just beginning to pit ever so slightly on the loop

Btw i tried some of the much cheaper padlocks and they were all very flimsy one even failed after a week would not lock

Given that the idea of a padlock is to stop someone getting the padlock open without the key
