She's so snarky and silly that i sit and giggle when reading her essays.

Mary roach thoroughly looks at every theory about what happens when we die, and investigates each one deeply, leaving you to decide which one you believe.

She is skeptical of each one, and isn't pushing anyone to believe one thing, or any of them.

It gave an interesting look into many different beliefs without the authors point of view of right vs wrong.

Mary roach writes a very interesting book with viewpoints of true or not true, but no real evidence of truisms.

    Pretty funny too at times.

I was not familiar with things like ectoplasm, near-death experiences, and attempts to capture ghosts with cameras and tape recorders, so i was fascinated by the foray into people's efforts over the centuries to find (or fake) evidence of the afterlife.

Not as fascinatingly weird as stiff or gulp, but still a very funny and fascinating book by a favorite writer as mary roach takes on life after death.
