Pros & Cons
Pros
These are perfect. I use them both for hair styling and as shawl/sweater pins for my hand-knits and crocheted items. I believe they will work well even with finer hair.
Easy to use and it doesn't get tangled up in my hair. I take them out (this takes slightly longer since you have to relocate them all in your hair haha, but still isn't a deterrent at all for me) and my hair isn't at all tangled.
Putting my hair into a bun was always an ordeal. These spiral pins are the bomb for holding it all in a nice bun. I use three or four and the bun feels secure and neat.
Cons
After many months of use (i'm a nurse i use them daily) the tynes become splayed and removing them becomes difficult.
Even with using just two of these pins my arms get tired while styling. This makes it to where the pins do not spin in or out smoothly. Just save your money, either buy the really good grippy ones or just get a standard bobby-pin.
Highlights
Quality
These hairpins work great with the up do or a bun or twist
They are wonderful better to work with
Price
The quantity for the price is fantastic and i have yet to bend or break one
Competitiveness
They work well and it was nice to find a multipack
So i started using these to secure the bun and then surround it with a scrunchie to make it look nice and hide any stray ends
