If you set this on a table with the screen down it is protected by the case but only by a hair's width on the top and bottom of the case, the edges are actually lower than the screen.

If there is anything sticking up when it's dropped or on a rough surface the case isn't going to help much if it lands on screen down.

With the v35 camera positioned lower about 1/8 inch compared to its sisters, v30, v30+, and v30s, the camera opening on the case just touches the camera bezel on the v35 but does not impact the camera functionality at all.

I know i'm replacing it at the year mark but i think my child fidgeted with it constantly (taking it off the phone just to snap it back in place)-apparently that is very satisfying to an 8 year old.

However it broke the silver bumper around the outside.

Long story short it broke and my phone didn't.
