However, it is very disappointing and unacceptable that one of the ports has gone bad after 10 minutes of usage.
Price
For the price, it's an exceptional value, eliminating the need for multiple adapters.
And it was priced right at the time of the purchase, which was a huge bonus.

The speed is similar to my mini mac using lightning bolt connections, large file transfers are a snap.

Some features are actually better with this hub in comparison to some expensive tb4 docks, specifically the hdmi and 2.
I have few other docking stations supporting thunderbolt 3/4 but most of them are not stable when i connect multiple devices.

Go look up differences between usb4 and thunderbolt 4 if you think otherwise and disagree nobody does a really good job of explaining really all just need to know they are similar technology but not exactly the same and the same physical port works for both tb4 and usb4 devices

Typically true tb4 docks will most likely provide additional tb4 ports in the form of usbc ports on the dock expanding the ability to connect more thunderbolt devices to the one port on the computer

In the case of this hub the usb c port is not thunderbolt just usb hub up to 10gbps
