Pros & Cons

Pros

My kiddos love playing with bb-8! They treat it like a real robotic pet that has feelings. Got this for my friend's 5 yr old daughter. I was impressed by its interactive features.

Cons

Sphero bb-8 has no outward sensors, no sign of any evolution. I have a galaxy note 20 ultra and the app would not pair with thebb-8. Slow to respond to steering changes from iphone app. No projection of messages at all. Droid has no sensors.

Batteries wear out over time as ions move from the cathode to the anode. Sphero still makes units where the batteries can't be soldered back together. If the robot doesn't turn on, or it flashes red lights, this indicates your battery is critical.

The head pops off every time the toy hits a wall. It is so inconsistent with its performance that it can only anger you. Now it's an expensive decoration.

This is a very exciting product idea, but it falls short upon opening the box. Horribly small. Packaging is first class but that's it.

First off round of applause for this seller because not only was he the best deal by a longshot he also threw in the force band it syncs to the robot and you’re able to use gestures to make it move without a tabletphone or touching the droid which is a legacy item
