Have used this product for years and it may take a day or two but you will start to see ant bodies and confused and unresponsive ants crawling around

They spread this around themselves and if they died instantly you would only get a few

If you have fire ants in your yard then this is the product to kill them

Just mix about 23 tablespoons in a bucket of water and pour some on the ant hill you will see them die before your eyes and it will not kill the grass
