Pros

Unbelievabke durability, especially for such a low price. I love the candy shell grip, they seem to last longer than the presidio grip. The ridges on the side & back help from any slippage.

This is the second speck i have purchased. The cut out openings are perfect. I truly hope speck does not discontinue making this case.

Cons

The rubber nubs on the back are great but they don't last. The rubber rings around the speaker button, the power plug port and bottom speakers aren’t reinforced so eventually they just lose shape and split.

The entire case disintegrates with regular use within six months. I am not sure if i got a bad batch with brittle plastic or if it's a cheap clone. Do not recommend.

It fits my 8 plus, but i think it’s ridiculous to deliberately mislead customers in to thinking this is an 8 plus-specific case. I'm returning this because you can buy a better color that's an iphone 7/6/6s plus for $10-$15 less.

i wanted to wait a while before giving this review, i hope this info can help others, i tend to rather have extra info especially when it involves lots of money.. like an iphone.i drop my phone ALOT, i have an iphone 8 plus, i dont have money for insurance to cover 100 % of damages, and i cant get a new i phone, i was very worried about getting a durable case, i went to the verizon store the seller told me about a Speck case.. i trusted his word, paid $45.00 for a black and blue colored Presidio Grip Case for iPhone 8 Plus ...and am GLAD i did. ive dropped my phone on the asphalt driveway, concrete side walks, tile, hard wood floors, and it has NEVER broken my phone!! just cracked a removable tempered glass screen protector that i got from the dollar tree... soo after almost 2 years my speck case started falling apart, the rubber backing was peeling off in some places, and the plastic and rubber at the bottom where you charge your phone was breaking apart.. it was time to get another Speck case for my iphone 8 pluss checked out amazon found the same Speck Presidio Grip cases ranging from $12- $25 depending on the color the price varied., the cost was WAY cheaper than when sold in verizon!On October 27, 2019 i bought another Presidio Grip Case for iPhone 8 Plus except it was purple, it was the same quality as the one from the verizon store...just a diff color and only $ 20i wanted to get a Candy Shell Grip in the future , i wasnt sure how effective they were. After research, i learned the Candy Shell Grip has a lower drop protection of 6 feet where as the Presidio Grip has a 10 foot drop protection.On December 2, 2019 i purchased the Candy Shell Grip for iphone 6s i decided to test it on my OLD iphone because if it sucked, i wouldn't get the Candy Shell Grip for my iphoine 8 Pluss,i tested the candy shell out for almost a year carrying my old phone as a camera.. the Candy Shell Grip had just as much protection as the Presidio Grip Case !!(although ive never dropped ether case from 10 feet to compare,) i have dropped both the Presidio Grip and the Candy Shell Gripvon my driveway, concrete side walks, tile, hard wood floors, and both have NEVER resulted in a broken phone.The only thing that broke was i cracked my removable tempered glass screen cover from the dollar tree.so i bought a Candy Shell Grip for my iphone 8 plus. I noticed some texture difference between the Presidio Grip and the Candy Shell Grip.The candy shell grip has a glossy look and a slick feel, texture was slick like a plastic phone charger socket. the lines in the back feel like a rubber charger cord (obviously not as thick as a charger cord).The Presidio Grip has a matte look and a slight textured feel , texture was like a plastic folding table. the rubber lines on the back is like a combination of rubber and plastic plastic, similar to how dry hot glue feels.I LOVE the Candy Shell Grip, they seem to last longer than the Presidio Grip , because the Presidio s rubber and plastic on the bottom where you charge your phone seems to break apart.
