Pros

The penknife style probe is a big plus for this thermometer. Having one that i can just open and grab a reading is really handy. Cleaning is easy, i just wipe the probe with soapy dish cloth and rinse in cool water.

The reading comes in a few seconds and seems as accurate as the dial type. Directions are pretty clear and explain how to calibrate the unit. The only negative is that calibration is a bit cumbersome.

Cons

The instructions for using the thermometer are ridiculous.

And when it is on it is a fast read easy to just clean the probe and move on with the day

The cord is a great length and easily comes through the side hole of the grill with the lid down

Readings seem consistent with the others i have

My only real complaint here is that with the probe plugged in there seems to be no auto timeout
