Now i dont know if this would apply to every phone bought from this seller since theres plenty of disclaimers about it being international and not having a warranty but i guess my unit was intended for sale in canada so sony north america still covered it

Note i did not at any point mention the warranty or lack thereof to sony they just asked me for the imei number during the course of troubleshooting and looked up the warranty eligibility from there
