Its more like hard plastic with a rubberized coating

Extra eye piece in case now comes off in the bag

A bit pricey but it is just what i needed to replace the one i lost off my a6000 camera

I bought my new a6300 and read all the reviews on the eye peice falling off

Works as it should and for a sony product reasonably priced
