There are only two modes on or blinking all on then all off

If you pull it out the bottom part gets stuck in the ground

If it snows you do have to go clear off the snow from the solar sensor so it will charge up

What i did not catch reading other reviews is that this light string divides in a y just beyond the unlighted cord from the solar unit

The y shape made it so much easier to string into my tree as i did not have to wind around and around but could zig zag the left and right sides
