Have a new car that we're parking in front driveway, wanted a light in case anyone came walking through (to put them on notice and also trigger my motion activated surveillance cam to start recording). I put it next to a bush so it's a little discrete and also made sure it was getting at least sunlight morning and early afternoon. The one mode I've been using which is activate on motion only, there is a constant red light that is on (which I covered up a bit with tape so it wasn't so noticeable - as it was quite bright). The motion sensor is pretty sensitive, and was coming on a lot a first (ie - when a car was going past front of house), so I made sure to point the light down as much as possible and also put a piece of tape on one side of motion sensor so it wouldn't catch a car passing by in a certain direction, which worked out great. Overall, it's working as I was expecting and it's been about 7 weeks now and it's been on every night (when it detects motion) and the light is bright.. no issues at all with battery discharging so solar is doing well in keeping battery charged (I was especially worrried about this scenario being winter and having several days at a time of overcast weather with little to no sun but have been pleasantly surprised how well it's doing). Happy with this product. Only addition that I'm considering is that light is basically on a plastic stake, easy to remove, so thinking of attaching more permanently with a screw or two - light to stake (and running some rope from light to bush in case any tried to take it so they'd have struggle with it if they really wanted it and they'll show up more on my cam video - overkill but like doing things like this :)  Read Less
