This solar panel is very slow to charge with so i would not reccomend getting this charger to solely charge it with the solar panel
The only reason i think that the solar panel on the battery pack would be useful is because if you got stranded and needed to charge your phone you could use the battery pack
Sometimes i forget to charge my battery pack and i am out of luck and mess some good memories of them but with this charger it charges while in the sun so no more missing anything my kids are older and always complaining mom you take too many pictures of us but these are the last few years i have and no more school they will be in college and they think ill quit haha not this charger will be by my side all the way it does charge my phone as seen in the below picture however it is slightly slower to charge than plugging into the wall which is to be expected due to the power source
