I bought this product for a 5 day biking trip where I was going to be pretty much off grid the entire time. I knew I was going to need power but didn't require a full solar power pack as I already had a few power packs I intended to take. I just needed a way to recharge them on the go.I decided that I would give the Team Planet solar charger a shot. It appeared it would give me the most bang for my buck plus I like that they are paying it forward helping others. I certainly wasn't disappointed. My trip unfortunately saw a lot of rain so cloudy, overcast skies made for less than ideal conditions. I didn't want to risk ruining it so I didn't test how it handles being wet. Call me crazy. However, I was able to set it up daily in our support vehicle.Even with those cloudy overcast skies, I was able to get enough juice during the day to top off my phone and my Fitbit that night ready to go for the next day. Sure I didn't get the same amount of power as I would from a wall outlet but, again, less than ideal circumstances and it still took care of me very well. One word of caution. We did get some direct sun for a few hours one day and I took full advantage of it. I set this solar charger right out in it (in the vehicle) with an item on both USB ports. The zippered, mesh pouch on the back where the ports are contained both items fine but my mistake was having them in the enclosed space of the vehicle. The items I was charging as well as the charger itself got very warm. It's the sun. What did I expect right? I believe that had I set it outside the vehicle it would not have been a problem. The mesh pouch would have allowed the heat to dissipate via some air flow and as long as my items were shaded it wouldn't have been a concern. Vehicles get hot, people! Lol.The weight is decent for what it is and it does have loops to clip it to a backpack or any other item you'd like. It does only come with one clip however for the loop at the Velcro end. So if you plan on attaching this to a backpack, get a couple more clips.I unfortunately didn't take any pictures of this out in the wild but I've included some showing some of the features.Overall, worth my purchase and a good product which I hope to enjoy on my outdoor excursions in the future.
