The white power supply box on the cord does make a soft noise

There is another review that mentions the whine from the power supply and comments on it that deny the noise exists or claim it must be malfunctioning

The noise is highpitched and only audible to people who have not yet lost their high range hearing to age

If you are under 30 you will have no problem hearing it in a quiet room and older persons may still be able to hear it if they put an ear next to the box
